NORTHART was proud to present a selection of salt glazed clay ceramics created by Rebecca Steedman in the Ernie Mays Gallery. Rebecca’s practice and research explore the dynamic relationship between language, materiality, and the natural world through her interdisciplinary approach. Her installation incorporated digital typographic works,  and ceramics. Talking Earth - Clay rounded reflects a deep curiosity about the concept of place, particularly within local landscapes, seeking to understand our ever-evolving environments. Local clay from the artists back yard in Kaipātiki features in the installation, fired and raw.

Rebecca was also part of our location for the 2025 Kaipātiki Open studios and was on site Saturday 15th November making with her wheel, and sharing her practise and knowledge.
